The all new MADS Smarty Touch Programmer with 4.3" color touch screen is the fastest display and tuner on earth! The Smarty Touch features a dual CPU design with the Smarty Touch Display and Smarty Touch Controller each with its own CPU.

One CPU drives the display for the graphics & user interface and the other drives the controller for communicating with the ECM. This enables the fastest display start up time in the industry, just four seconds! It also features the fastest PID refresh speed in the industry and the fastest ECM download. The ECM download is up to three times faster than the competition; a typical ECM update takes 1.5 to 6 minutes, depending on the model year. The large 4.3" touch display has four dashboards with each configurable with five different gauge layouts. The gauge range is freely configurable and two audible and/or visible alarms (high and a low range) can be configured for each PID. This is the most advanced tuner that Smarty has ever made.

Smarty Communication Module (ComMod) - Sold Separately

The ComMod, when installed to Smarty Touch’s under-dash controller, allows communication with the ECM over two distinct CAN Bus channels at the same time. The usual OBD II plug / bus and a secondary under hood service bus used by Cummins for the communication with external modules such as the VGT turbo, Oxygen sensors, etc. Use the ComMod for real-time Shift-On-the-Fly tuning with your Smarty Touch. It is also necessary to unlock the ECM on 2013-2018 6.7L Cummins diesels.

Please Note – Do not use for prolonged high speed runs! Speeds exceeding approximately 105 mph can result in high EGT’s and damage the Particulate Filter (DPF).

All even numbered softwares (2-4-6-8) without timing are to be used for stacking with other after market power adding devices that also add their own timing. NO additional timing has to be used with the odd numbered softwares (1-3-5-7-9). Severe engine damage will result !!!

Software # 0 – The half power setting is useful whenever reduced power is desired or when you have to make sure that no smoke is produced.

Software # 1 – This fuel saver software produces average fuel savings of +2 MPG! Heavy Towing is not recommended with this software due to the aggressive nature of the tune.

Software # 2 – Increases fuel delivered by the ECM and includes boost fooling

Software # 3 – Same as software # 2 but timing has been added.

CaTCHER Softwares # 4 to # 9 – The even numbered softwares are identical to the odd numbered ones, except for the timing. The softwares without added timing are intended for use with timing adding boxes.

Many customers ask “How much horsepower will the CaTCHER software add to my 98.5-02 engine?” The short answer is that it depends upon the mods done to your engine. On a stock engine typical gains are 60 horsepower at the rear wheels. With upgraded injectors the Hp gain increases. How much depends upon your injectors, turbo, intake, exhaust, etc. The best mod combined with the CaTCHER is a good set of injectors.

If you feel that you absolutely want to “stack chips” The CaTCHER stacked with a fuel only box provides the highest Hp gain. More than what a timing & fuel box that can’t be stacked with anything will provide.
